Archetypal Therapy

Archetypal therapy is sometimes named Parts Therapy, Inner Voice Dialog, or SubPersonality Dialog.  It is based upon the teachings of Dr. Carl Jung.  Archetypes are primal energies that compose all life.  Collectively, they are the psyche.  Archetypal therapy enables you to have a conversation with the parts of yourself that have been neglected.  These are the repressed archetypes.  As you work with your therapist to meet and find ways to give your repressed aspects expression in your life, you become more fully alive and integrated as a person.  Unexpressed repressed archetypes can show up as addictions, sabotage, insanity, depression, anger, obsessive-compulsive behaviors, perfectionism, deep feelings of inadequacy, over sensitivity, abandonment, narcissism, etc.  (Hey, who can't benefit from a little archetypal work?)
