Education and Certifications: Ms. Lawrence has a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Relations and Organizational Behavior form the University of San Francisco, a Masters in Hypnotherapy from the Palo Alto School of Hypnotherapy, and is currently enrolled in the Doctoral program for Clinical Hypnotherapy with the American Institute of Hypnotherapy. Ms. Lawrence has over 480 hours of formal training in hypnotherapy and related skills from the American Institute of Hypnotherapy, Palo Alto School of Hypnotherapy and other sources. These classes include Medical Hypnotherapy, Clinical Hypnotherapy, Advanced Hypnotherapy, Hypnotherapy 101, Past Life Regression Therapy, and other classes. Included in the Medical Hypnotherapy classes with the Palo Alto School of Hypnotherapy is hypnoanesthesiology and hypnodontics. Ms. Lawrence is certified as a Handwriting Consultant by the Institute of Integral Handwriting Studies with over 20 years of experience in handwriting analysis. Experience: Ms. Lawrence is the founder of the DB Alternative Healing Center in Los Altos where she has a private practice in Medical Hypnotherapy. She has had a healing practice since 1995, and has been teaching various healing classes since 1994. Her primary focus is pain management and hypnoanesthesiology using hypnosis. Other experience includes 30 years in the computer industry as a software engineer, consultant, project manager, manager, and director with various companies in the Silicon Valley. Other experience includes volunteer work with non-profit organizations. Ms. Lawrence has held various board positions in these organizations including president, vice president, treasurer, secretary, and numerous committee chairs. Included are Hope House and ARIS of Santa Clara where hypnotherapy is used to help people in need. Awards: Too many awards to name them all. Ms. Lawrence has received numerous awards from; businesses for work performed, non-profit organizations for support, and other organizations for volunteer work. She was the 1994, "Woman of the Year" for the American Business Women’s Association, Dumbarton Bridge Chapter. |
